Walking In Purpose

Purpose is the reason we are here on the earth. We are created to fulfill God’s purpose, Each one of us has a unique purpose in life. It is your responsibility to discover yours and fulfill it. When we fulfill purpose, we not only become a blessing to others, we are also blessed.

Have you ever asked yourself, “Why am I here?”, “Why do I exist?” “What am I here to do?” and “Who have I been sent to?” It is very important for you to discover what your purpose in life is so that you can live a rewarding and fulfilled life.

Esther and Deborah are women in Bible times who discovered their purpose and lived fulfilled lives. Esther’s purpose was to strategically deliver the Jews. Before Mordecai told her about the evil planned against the Jews, she had not done anything significant with her life. In the place of preparation and prayer, she received faith to step out.

She must have realized that failure to step into purpose and fulfill it would translate into death for many. She became sold out to her purpose and was ready to die for her people. She was recorded to have said, “If I perish, I perish”.

Thankfully, she found favor before the king when she made her request, Esther discovered that her purpose in the palace was not just to enjoy life’s comforts;

She was positioned there to save the lives of her people. Take time to ponder and ask yourself why you are here on earth at this present time.

You will live a meaningful life when you know why you are here on earth. Deborah was a wife, a prophetess and a judge in Israel. Her purpose was to help the Israelites gain victory over their enemies. When Barak wouldn’t go to the battlefield without her, she knew she had to fulfill purpose. Though dangerous, she went with him.

What has God told you to do? Discover it and focus on it and He will give you the grace to accomplish it.

Mother Theresa was another woman who lived an amazing life. She devoted herself to caring for the sick and the poor. She impacted their lives.

Her organization established a hospice, a lepers’ colony and centers for the blind, the aged, and the disabled. In exchange for living a purposeful life through her humanitarian work, she received the Nobel Peace Prize.

In the pursuit of purpose, you gain clarity, focus, and direction for your life. Your talents, gifts and skills must be used to benefit others. Make up your mind today to be a woman of purpose. Be purposeful in all that you do.

Pray and meditate on God’s word. Let Him speak to you because hearing from Him clarifies your purpose. When you walk in His purpose, you will be fulfilled and blessed beyond measure and your life will take on meaning and significance in Jesus name.

In His Love,
