What are you about?
What will others say about your influence in their lives? Can people recommend you?
Develop your skills, practice what you have learnt and prepare to make the best of your opportunity when it comes. Joseph passed the interview because he prepared for it and Pharaoh promoted him and gave him a new status.
When the king sent for Joseph, he quickly shaved and dressed up because he knew that he would stand before a great man for an interview, he didn’t go to the palace in prison clothes. He changed his appearance and made himself presentable and likeable.
Also, work on your character and reputation because you never know where your name will be mentioned hopefully for good.
The negative circumstances Joseph found himself did not change what God had designed for him and he succeeded at all he did. When Pharaoh had a dream, Joseph was recommended because he had been using his gift of dream-interpretation to better the lives of others in the prison.
Do you have a dream or gift, something you are holding on to in line with your purpose and God’s promises? Hold on to your God-given dreams or gifts; don’t derail, don’t give up or go with the popular flow.
Joseph was faced with many temptations but he had God and purpose in mind so he refused to have sex with Potiphar’s wife. She lied against him and he was sent to prison, still he continued to be righteous. Flee every appearance of evil when tempted.
Talk to the Lord when you are faced with challenges, get yourself a role model and accountability partner that you can talk to anytime.
Finally, I want you to know that you are not alone on this journey, God is with you. Joseph held on to God’s love, that was why he easily forgive his brothers for what they did to him.
We have to trust God and still love people no matter what we have been through.
God can change any situation or circumstance, he is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we can ask or think.
In His Love,
Nike.
