As a woman makes plans to get married and raise a Godly family, she should also build her financial acumen. Whether by full-time employment, running a business or doing both in some cases, women should desire to be financially empowered.
Don’t look for financial security in marriage or in any human. There are many wrong reasons for marriage and financial gain is one of them.
As a single woman or man, I was assured by God’s word that I would prosper by His grace, hard work and consistency.
The same way being married to a doctor doesn’t guarantee sound health, marrying a rich man doesn’t guarantee wealth and vice versa.
Marry from a mind-set of a revelation in God’s word that says marriage is good. My experience in counselling and mentoring women reveals that women need to do better financially.
A woman must be able to stand on her own, hold down a job or have some skills that she can trade with for income.
For your finances to grow, seek knowledge. Attend financial seminars. Learn about money: know how it comes and goes.
Learn about budgeting and be disciplined enough to keep to your budget. Follow financial experts on social media, ask questions and get wisdom to build wealth in trust for your family.
Learning to give is also a part of financial literacy. Giving to God and others is an investment that pays big dividends. It is important to run with revelation. You must believe what God has said about you.
God doesn’t make mistakes; settle it in your heart that He is interested in your financial growth and prosperity. You may not yet be where you desire to be financially but If God has spoken His promises to your heart, you will definitely get there, so get excited.
When you have revelation, you may still lack money for a while but in your heart, you know you are rich. Revelation gives you a road map to what God will have you do to get what He promised you.
The confidence and assurance that revelation births will affect your confidence and esteem. I pray that this season marks a new level of abundance in your life in Jesus name!
